I haven't posted in exactly one month. Work has been a beast. So here is "The Second One."

I finished The 100 Day Project. That was a serious challenge. I haven't drawn in more than 10 years.

It's amazing how much I remember. Digital art seems to be a great medium for me.

1. because I can fix my mistakes, of which there are many.

2. because art supplies are costly and can make a mess.

Personal thought: I still think I will eventually have an "art studio" (a room, really) that I can one day buy supplies for and work in. But mostly, the work is therapeutic. It just gives me time to think and lay things out in my mind; big deep thoughts, such as, "Am I the person I want to be?" or "Have I been the person I want to be?" or "Am I where I want to be?"

It's not a mid-life crisis or anything. I've just gone through a lot of my life not following my own direction -- until I met someone who told me once that if I ever had the thought to apologize, just say "F*** yeah."

Tremendous advice I didn't immediately take to heart until waaay later. So here I am, following that advice.

As for what's next. I'm going to keep up with illustration. I'm also playing with video more -- at least on my iPhone for now. But the illustration will continue.

My next focus will be movies. The first was obviously musicians. I've always loved music, which I know isn't uncommon. I suppose growing up with a musician was a major factor in my desire to focus on music first.

I also love film. I mean, I went to school for film and theatre -- after going to art school for a year.

So for my next trick, enjoy the movie illustrations.

As for the state of my website, I'm still looking for a way to print and sell my work. I just upgraded my website to a "business plan." I can't believe I burned through the allotted amount of pages on my current plan. But that's a good sign, I suppose!

So, stay tuned. More great things to come.
